15/05/15 - Screen Acting Workshop with Anthony Topham at The Actors Centre.
Anthony runs a regular and very popular screen acting workshop at The Actors Centre in London. The next session is 28th July 2015.
Click here to reserve your place on the course. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Workshop Title: Getting to Grips with Screen Acting.
What is it?
This workshop is an ideal introduction or refresher course for those who may not have had the opportunity to work on camera.
How will it work?
We will deal with the technical aspects of acting for screen; hitting marks, eye-lines, what questions to ask, then branching into non-verbal communication exercises to build camera confidence. The afternoon session will be text-based; bringing the techniques learnt in the morning into practice and learning how to give truthful performances within the technical confines of the medium. Throughout the session participants will be able to watch themselves in playback in order to objectively analyse their screen performances.
What do you get out of it?
By the end of the day actors will not only have the confidence to work and trust their instincts within the technical aspects of screen acting and gain experience in bringing a script to life on camera but also they will begin to enjoy the responsibility of the close-up.
Take a look at the feedback from past attendees.

19/09/11 - Review from County Family Website.
"However put him (Shaun Williamson) together with Anthony Topham as Tom, a nervous ‘Romeo’ who bungles along trying to steal the heart of Annie, and you are in store for some great laughs. Tom is superb. He probably has the best voice out of this great cast, has wonderful comic touches and is certainly a name to watch......Rhinestone Cowboys is a simple tale of boy meets girl but it was the chemistry between Faye Tozer, as Annie, and Anthony Topham that made this musical especially sweet.
